Rooted in the Iyengar yoga traditions, Julia's classes welcome all bodies & levels of experience. Her teaching incorporates the voices of all her teachers over the past 20 years, exploring how the breath & mind can open up to play & possibilities through movement. In 2023 she completed a 500-Hour YTT at The Yoga Shanti in NY. She is excited to share, practice and learn yoga together while building community with you! Off the mat, find her paddleboarding, dancing, & enjoying açaí bowls.
Abbie completed her 200 HR YTT in December 2022 and has since been consistently sharing her passion for yoga. Her vinyasa classes are dynamic, interwoven with yogic philosophy, and designed to guide you inward for relaxation and self-discovery. Abbie is committed to fostering a welcoming space for yogis of all ages, sizes, and abilities. Off the mat, she finds joy in ecstatic dancing, connecting with nature, and being an active member of Seattle's spiritual community.
After years of looking for ways to heal from various injuries & health challenges, Stephen found relief in yoga and breathing practices around 2001. Wanting to take his practice deeper, he earned his 200 and 300 hour certifications with Lotus Yoga. His classes happen on the mat, in the chair, online and sometimes in the park! When he is not teaching yoga, he can be found wandering the neighborhoods of South Seattle with groups of dogs on leash or teaching students French and English!
Cierra, a passionate yogi, weaves elements of trauma-informed care and accessibility into her vinyasa classes. As a Black woman, her practice resonates with cultural influences, incorporating the rhythm of Black music, insightful dharma talks and ancestral movements. Certified through a 200HR training with Rolf Gates and Nikki Myers since 2020, Cierra guides her students with a blend of authenticity and expertise, creating a space where mindfulness and movement effortlessly flow together.
Austin’s artistic journey has taken him from painting in his parent’s basement to k-12 art teacher to community artist and educator. Each step along the way has taught him something important about understanding relationships between people and places. Austin believes creativity is a fundamental characteristic of human beings. There may be no tool as powerful as art in changing the way people feel about themselves, others, and their environment.
For her own spirit and well being after her children grew up and left home, Susanna took up the study of yoga after practicing in phases since her teen years. Over several years she completed a 500 hour training through Lotus Yoga. Working with movement, sound, breathing and meditative practices brings her a grounded and joyful Spirit. Singing, walking, hiking, swimming in lakes and ocean, gardening, and writing poetry are her personal renewals.
Emily discovered yoga as a teenager, and continuously found yoga as a supportive thread promoting creativity, healing, and connection through her career as an architect and landscape designer. With 500+ hrs of training in Ghosh lineage yoga & somatic practices, her classes commonly incorporate mythological stories, respect individual bodies and needs, include a blend of unique & historical yoga postures and modern science, and encourage students to connect - both with and outside of themselves.

Ellen is from Manhattan, Kansas—the “Little Apple”. She has a degrees in printmaking, art history & biology. She combined her interests by getting a Master’s in Biomedical Visualization from the Univ. of Illinois at Chicago. Ellen and her partner moved to Seattle in 2021 where she works full-time as a medical artist, creating illustrations and animations for patient and clinician education. She enjoys working in a variety of media, including watercolor, gouache, and acrylic, and most dry media.
Meg has been an artist since she could hold a crayon and enjoys all types of creative endeavors: ceramics, stained glass, painting, collage, Zentangle, & more! Meg became a Certified Zentangle Teacher in 2011 after studying with the founders of Zentangle, M. Thomas & R. Roberts. She especially enjoys bringing Zentangle to those who consider themselves not creative and not artistic because it is such an easy method to learn and to be successful with!
Jennie comes to postural yoga from an alignment-based, body-positive orientation. She creates classes where people can experience greater ease, confidence, and a sense of autonomy in the body and self. Her classes focus on alignment, mindful breathing, & deliberate movement. She often brings her passions of music & dance into classes. She’s been practicing for over 20 years, and teaching since 2014. Jennie is a South Seattle resident and loves teaching in our south-end community!
